CHEYENNE SYMPHONY ORCHESTRA2024-25 Season

Welcome to the 2024-25 concert season of the Cheyenne Symphony Orchestra! This season marks the orchestra’s 70th anniversary and we will present spectacular programs to celebrate this milestone. As always, our concerts are designed to inspire, entertain, and move you – as well as be a fun night out! There’s something so special about hearing the Cheyenne Symphony Orchestra live, and sharing that experience with hundreds of other people, all being moved in the moment by the music.

Highlights of the upcoming season include:

  • How to Train Your Dragon in Concert, a film with Live Orchestra!
  • Favorite symphonic works like Rachmaninoff’s 2nd piano concerto with Ilya Yakushev, Orff’s Carmina Burana with a huge local chorus and soloists, Mozart’s Violin Concerto No. 5 featuring CSO’s concertmaster Stacy Lesartre, and Copland’s Billy the Kid Suite
  • Less familiar masterpieces by well-known composers, like Tchaikovsky’s 2nd Symphony and Beethoven’s Symphony No. 4
  • Some sure-to-be favorites like Adams’ Short Ride in a Fast Machine, a new harp concerto by Michael Daugherty, and a musical gem by Native-American composer Jerod Tate
  • An all Latin American program featuring a bandoneon concerto (an accordion-like instrument) by the tango master Piazzolla, soprano aria by Villa Lobos, plus other exciting pieces with intense dance rhythms and lots of percussion!
  • Holiday Magic featuring collaborations with En Avant Dance Studio, Cheyenne Chamber Singers and All-City Children’s Chorus.
  • Movie Music Matinee featuring music from The Lego Movie, Wonka, Barbie, Sonic, Super Mario Bros. and more!
  • Symphony Underground with Gasoline Lollipops at The Lincoln
