Make ME the Maestro

Vote for your favorite and support the CSO!

Four incredible community members are vying for the chance to conduct a piece on one of CSO’s upcoming concerts.  You can help them achieve their goal of raising the most funds with a donation to the Cheyenne Symphony, a 501(c)3 organization EIN 83-6006472.  Meet our Maestro candidates below and “vote” for your favorite by making a donation .  The fundraising competition will end at 11:59pm on Friday, September 13th.  The winner will be announced at our 66th Annual Gala on September 14th, so be sure to attend to see who will be handed the baton!

To vote by credit card donation, click the button below and select the name of your candidate in the dropdown for donation category.  If you would like to vote by cash or check donation, you can call or visit the CSO office during business hours, or mail a check to CSO with your candidate’s name in the memo line.

Bria
Hammock

Bria Hammock is a local Cheyenne artist, entrepreneur, graphic designer, and creative director with a deep love for the West and the outdoors. For the past 15 years, Bria has called Cheyenne home, and has loved being part of the creative conversation thriving here. She specializes in contemporary wildlife paintings that capture the essence of the region’s fauna. Bria owns Westward in downtown Cheyenne, a beloved spot for art lovers and collectors. When she’s not in her studio, she’s leading creative projects for a travel + tourism marketing agency, using her talents to showcase the best of what America has to offer.

Lindi
Kirkbride

Lindi Kirkbride is a retired rancher, consultant, and dedicated community leader with extensive grassroots organizing experience. A graduate of the University of Wyoming with a degree in Social Work, she has made significant contributions to various community organizations, including serving as supervisor for the Laramie County Conservation District and as the Founder/Executive Director of Court Appointed Special Advocates (CASA) of Laramie County. Lindi has been involved in advocacy work for the AARP of Wyoming and the Wyoming Children’s Society. She is an active member of Rotary, League of Women Voters, and Wyoming Braver Angels. Lindi is also a Master Gardener and has helped start community gardens and volunteers for the Boys and Girls Club Teen Garden. In her free time, she enjoys reading, practicing yoga, and playing mahjong.

Jess
Ryan

A CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER™ practitioner and Accredited Investment Fiduciary® with the Compass Wealth Group, Jess is a proud fifth-generation Wyoming native and graduated from the University of Wyoming. An avid volunteer, he served as the Co-Chair of the United Way of Laramie County’s 2021 Annual Campaign and currently serves as Chair of the Cheyenne Chamber Business Council. His past contributions include serving on the Steering Committee for Leadership Cheyenne, board member for CASA of Laramie Cty, the Kiwanis Club of Cheyenne, K9s for Mobility, and the United Way of Laramie Cty. Outside of his professional and volunteer life, Jess is passionate about fly fishing having spent his summers in college as a guide in Saratoga. Jess’s life is enriched by his wife, Dr. Danielle Ryan, a Cheyenne native, their one-year-old daughter Sidney, and their rescue dog, a Border Collie mix named Georgia.

Roger
Smalley

Dr. Roger Smalley is a retired U.S. Naval Reserve Commander and retired Professor of Marketing. Roger studied music at Southern Illinois University. While his musical career was disrupted by the Vietnam War, his love of music remained strong, and he was a member of the St. Louis Symphony Chorus for many years. Roger went on to earn a Ph.D. in Marketing Research and Advertising and joined the faculty at McKendree University in Lebanon, IL. He and his wife recently relocated from Illinois to Cheyenne to be closer to their son and daughter-in-law. One of the first things Roger and his wife did after moving to Cheyenne was to purchase CSO Season tickets. They’ve assimilated well to Wyoming where they’ve become active members of their church, St. Mark’s Episcopal, and look forward to many more years of living in Cheyenne!
