Premiere of American Patriot Hymn by Jeff Lippencott

Having Jeff Lippencott as the CSO Composer-in-Residence has been an exciting experience for the musicians and the audience.  Last November, the CSO performed his piece Pasturelands Cello Concerto. The premiere of American Patriot Hymn this April will be a memorable event for musicians and audiences alike. Also, the orchestra’s presentation will be enhanced with the appearance of the Cheyenne Chamber Singers and the University of Wyoming Collegiate Chorale.

Jeff Lippencott is known for his work on numerous network television series, films, and media projects. He has received two Grammy nominations and composed music for several television programs, including Shark Tank, The Biggest Loser, American Idol, and Who Wants to Be a Millionaire.

His approach to his art is noteworthy.  He has observed that his “mission is to write music that conveys the beauty of creation and the glory of God through melody, chord, and lyric.”
