Cheyenne Symphony Orchestra is excited to announce a new fundraising initiative called Make Me the Maestro! Four incredible community members are vying for the chance to conduct a piece on one of CSO’s upcoming concerts. You can help them achieve their goal by voting for your favorite with a donation to the Cheyenne Symphony, a 501(c)3 organization EIN 83-6006472. Meet our Maestro candidates below and “vote” for your favorite by making a donation . The fundraising competition will culminate at our 65th Annual Gala on September 16th, so be sure to attend to see who will be handed the baton!

Tom
Bass
Tom Bass is the President of Wyoming Bank & Trust. He has been in banking since 1979 after graduating from Ursinus College in Pennsylvania. Tom was born and raised in Westfield, NJ but got to WY as soon as he could! Tom is a graduate of Leadership Cheyenne and Leadership Wyoming. He has been a Board member and Vice President of WWII Honor Flight-Wyoming, President of Juvenile Diabetes Foundation, Junior Achievement, Treasurer Laramie County Library foundation, Treasurer of LCCC foundation, President of Cheyenne Family YMCA, Chairman of the WY State Banking Board, Cheyenne LEADS, Cheyenne Chamber of Commerce, Chairman of the Wyoming Bankers Association and the Stonier Graduate School of Banking Advisory Board Member at the University of Pennsylvania.
Tom and his wife Chris love to travel, play golf, read, bicycle and spend time with family and friends.
Dr. Tracie
Caller
Tracie A. Caller, MD is a Wyoming native, coming to Cheyenne from her home town of Rock Springs, Wyoming. She graduated from the University of Washington School of Medicine and completed residencies in both Neurology and Preventive Medicine at Dartmouth-Hitchcock Medical Center. She also received a Masters in Public Health from Dartmouth College. She has worked with the Cheyenne Regional Medical Group at the Medical Specialty Clinic Neurology since 2014. Dr. Caller’s clinical interests include Alzheimer’s disease, Parkinson’s disease, ALS, stroke, and epilepsy with a focus on wellness and prevention.
In her spare time, Dr. Caller enjoys riding horses, hiking, running, and painting/sculpting.
Mary
Guthrie
Mary B. Guthrie has deep Wyoming roots. She was born and raised in northeastern Wyoming and received a B.A. in English and a J.D. from the University of Wyoming. She has a strong commitment to her profession, her community, to education, and the arts. She was a Deputy Attorney General for the State of Wyoming and successfully represented the State in the U.S. Supreme Court. Guthrie was Cheyenne’s first female city attorney and Executive Director of Wyoming State Bar. She had the joy of teaching English at LCCC for 12 years as an adjunct instructor.
She has actively served on dozens of community boards, including the Cheyenne Symphony Board and the Wyoming Humanities Council. She plays the trombone in community bands, participates in several book and discussion groups and co-edits the CSO Friends Newsletter. Guthrie feels lucky to have been recognized as a “Wyoming Woman of Influence, Lifetime Achievement,” by the Wyoming Business Journal, “Outstanding Arts and Sciences Alumnae” by the University of Wyoming, and “Outstanding Adjunct Instructor,” LCCC.
Dr. Rene
Hinkle
Dr. Rene Hinkle is a co-founding partner at Cheyenne Women’s Clinic. Dr. Hinkle received her undergraduate degree from Emory University in Atlanta, Georgia, then completed her medical training at the University of Miami. Her career continued with her residency in OBGYN at the Naval Medical Center in San Diego. She began her board-certified practice in OBGYN care with three years in Naples, Italy for the U.S. Navy, where she was Chairman in the Department of OBGYN.
Dr. Hinkle has been practicing in Cheyenne for nearly 20 years. She gains satisfaction from helping women from adolescence through menopause improve and maintain their well-being. She served as Chair of OB/GYN at Cheyenne Regional Medical Center and was Chief of Staff from 2012-2015. She is a member of the Wyoming Medical Society and the Wyoming Board of Medicine.
In addition to being a dedicated physician, she is also a member of the Laramie County School District #1 Board of Trustees. She is the mother of two girls and in her free time, she enjoys exercise, dancing, cooking, and reading historical fiction. She is an avid football fan and can often be seen in Laramie at UW games.
