Frequently Asked Questions
What should I wear to Symphony Concerts? There is no dress code. Most people wear business clothes or dressy casual clothes, but you’ll see a mix of attire—from cocktail dresses and suits to jeans.
When should I arrive? You should plan to arrive approximately 30 minutes prior to the performance start time. That is when the hall opens up to the public and you may take your seat.
Out of consideration for the performers and other audience members, patrons who arrive after the performance has begun will be admitted to their seats following the completion of the first work, first movement or song on the program.
How long is a typical Symphony performance? Performance length varies, but a typical performance runs approximately two hours with one 20-minute intermission.
What do I do if I lost my ticket? No problem! Please call (307) 778-8561, visit the CSO office or Civic Center box office in person, and we will reprint your ticket(s) at no charge.
Can I bring my children? The CSO encourages children to attend Symphony concerts. Discounted student tickets are available. All individuals, including young children and lap children must have a ticket to enter the concert. Civic Center ushers will ask parents to take disruptive children out of the concert hall.
Are food and drink available? The Cheyenne Civic Center provides lobby snacks and beverages for purchase on the main floor before show time and during intermission for many performances. They do ask that you limit your snacks and beverages to the lobby area as no food or drinks are allowed in the hall. Water vending machines are located in the north and south end of the main lobby.
Are discounts available? CSO regularly offers discounts to students and military patrons. Student discounts may be obtained by selecting “student” from the dropdown menu when purchasing tickets online. Military members may use coupon code: military to obtain a discount. You may be asked to provide your student or military I.D. at the box office.
Group discounts are also available, based on the size of your group. Please call the Symphony office at (307) 778-8561 to determine your rate.
