Leslie Stewart is Director of String Pedagogy at Colorado State University and Director of CSU’s graduate Summer Conducting Program for working music educators. She teaches violin and undergraduate conducting, coaches chamber music, plays violin in the newly formed faculty ensemble, the Verdoro String Trio, and conducts the CSU Concert Orchestra. She is also the Music Director of the Health & Wellness Community Orchestra in Ft. Collins.
Ms. Stewart is a member of the Cheyenne Symphony, performs regularly with the Ft. Collins Symphony, and was a member of the Cabrillo Music Festival of Contemporary Music Orchestra in Santa Cruz, California for 32 years. She has been a member of the Puerto Rico and Alabama Symphonies as well as several orchestras in Northern California and has frequently performed and recorded with the Virginia Symphony.
Ms. Stewart holds Bachelor and Masters degrees in Music Performance from the University of Southern California.
